Also, 2009 marks the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City.

This year, watch for the NYC Gay Pride Parade to kick off in New York on June 20 with the annual rally at Bryant Park at 42nd Street and 6th Avenue, continuing through to the parade march down Fifth Avenue on June 28, 2009 — beginning at 52nd Street and heading south to Christopher Street in Greenwich Village.
