Former President Corazon ‘Cory’ Aquino died this morning August 1, 2009 due to cardio-respiratory arrest. Cory Aquino has been diagnosed with colon cancer early in 2008 and has been confined at the Makati Medical Center for more than a month.
Cory Aquino’s family decided on a private funeral for the late President Corazon Aquino, instead of a state funeral. Cory Aquino will be buried at the Manila Memorial Park on Wednesday after a 9 a.m. mass at the cathedral. She will be buried beside her late husband, Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.
